My first artifact stems from the series of Scary movies made. My favorite of which is Scary Movie 2. Directed by Keenen Wayans and written by many comedian actors this movie was released in 2001 under the Comedy Genre. It was a remediation of an array of supernatural and hunted house films, likes The Haunting, Stigmata, The Exorcist, The Legend of Hell House, House on Haunted Hill, The Changeling, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Amityville Horror, and Poltergeist. It also spoofs some contemporary files such as Hannibal. It was made primarily as a comedy and had a hit at the box office and generated over $20,000,000 on opening night and gained over $141,000,000 worldwide. Currently, the film is still a comedy rendition of scary movies but the new generation will not accept it like we did as they don’t know where the original content came from.
My second piece comes from the thyme song from the sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which ran from 1990 to 1996. The song was a creative hit to address the concept of the show and was created by Will Smith and “Jazzy” Jeff Townes. As Peers puts it, “everyone who hears this heat instantly thinks back to “Yo home to Bel-Air”. (2019) Though the lyrics were original the beat was a remix to Janes Brown's 1976 song Funky President. The beat was pumped-up to capture the music culture of that time and to this day is one of the most widely known and catchy sitcom songs. This song caught the attention of millions of viewers making the show one of the best in its time.

Scott Pilgrim vs the world is my last piece is arguably the worse movie I saw in 2010. Based on a series of comic books with the same name, it was a mix of nerdy punk rock kids, action, and video games. The nerdy guy got in a relationship with the most troublesome girl, who brought lots of baggage with her which causes him to get into fights. He finally got mature and was able to combat her Seven ex-boyfriends who burst into coins when they were different like a sonic or Mario video game. This film was to be a romantic, action movie with quarks. It stuck to the Hollywood staging of the weak beating the strong and winning the girl. It also mixed the video concept of the hero fighting the henchman then fighting the big boss. This film was based on a specific audience who received greatly by them but for me, it was a bad movie.
