These artifacts are videos from the two songs Easy by Kanye and Easy-Duz-It by Easy-E that can be played side by side. Unfortunately, I was having trouble attaching the actual videos from youtube to Blogger. The song Easy was made by Kanye in 2022, while Easy-Duz-It was made by Easy-E in 1988. In the video, you would've heard the lyrics, "he once was a thug from around the way. Easy". In Easy-E's song, that 6 seconds of lyrics was high-pitched and sounded like a child, while in Kanye's song, the pitch was lower and almost sounded like a woman and not a kid. Both pieces had the same lyrics and had the same tune but with different pitches.

The artifact of Kanye's "Easy" is a remix of Easy-E's "Easy-Duz-It" because the creator of his song changed the original by removing it, changing it, and adding it by blending into the new music. The creator's purpose was most likely to create new music that he thought his audience would enjoy. So the creator took a unique perspective on the already made tune and reproduced it the way he sought best. The tools used to do this would've been musical recording technology and different sampling devices. Now the Easy-E lyrics and tune have a new life inside Kanye's song and function as new entertainment.

This artifact is a Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) showing an animated clip of a crying cartoon character. The original clip that this GIF is animating is from the cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants and is of Patrick Star, sad and starting to cry. The creator's purpose in creating this GIF was to remix and change an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants by removing and using only this scene. GIFS are made from photos in motion, and the creator probably used some digital application to assist in its creation. Before the remix, the meaning of its creation was to support the plot of a show's episode in the entertainment industry. The remixed GIF is used to support or replace text words to express feelings, which is sad, just like Patrick Star.

This artifact is an image of a fanfiction story titled "Mean to Be." The artifact was created by Amy Elizabeth and was published on March 6, 2022. Amy Elizabeth's story is an excellent example of a remix because she uses existing characters from marvel, but changes and adds to the already existing ideas to create a brand new media story. The intentionality of the creator is to entertain with a pursuit in new avenues with already new existing characters that have a fan base. To create this Amy Elizabeth needed a device to type words onto and also the website to post it on to. At the time of its creation, it served as a medium for unique entertainment and continues to do so now.
