In the exhibit you
will learn how the systems in the plane comm7unicate with the pilot and how the
pilot communicates with air traffic control. IS this exhibit you will learn
about aviation communication. The artifacts in my exhibit are of the components
in the plane that give the readings for the pilot to read so the pilot knows
the plane is communicating. My audience will need to have an interest in
aviation to understand my exhibit. They will also need to further research to
understand how each and every component works and how the pilots know what
going on around them because of these components.
My exhibit contributes to the study of aviation communication by giving artifacts of how we communicated in the aviation field and explaining how they work. I think the research potential for this exhibit is large. They can research gyros to understand how the plane understands its perspective compares to the imaginary horizon to the surface. They can research the other components that have not been listed or talked about in the plane that communicate to the pilot telling them if their systems are operating under normal conditions or if the systems are operating differently. My artifacts all connect with each other because they are all used on the plane to help with aviation communication. I selected the ten of them to point out the main ones but there are several others on the plane that are used to help the pilot communicate or to communicate to the pilot about the plane. The artifacts are arranged in the order they are in by the components the plane uses to communicate and then followed by what air traffic control uses to communicate with the pilots. The organization contribute to the exhibits goals and purpose by giving a general understanding of how the plane communicates as well as how air traffic control communicates.
