Jikji was printed with woodblock in 1378 at Chwiamsa Temple
The intentionality of the Jikji was to help Buddhist monks in teaching Zen Buddhism. The materiality of Jikji was woodblock and carved out for broader distribution. The function of Jikji was to make printed books or printed text for people to use to remember or use to teach with. The function of the jikji now is history purposes. The content relates to its form by the Buddhist using its contents to teach Zen Buddhism.

The intentionality of Bok Type was to print text on metal. The material of movable metal is
alloy of lead, tin and antimony. The functions the artifact had for its time of creation was used in the printing press to print letters on paper. The function the artifact has now is history purposes while our printing presses now does now require us to have a printing plates. The contents relate to its form because they used this letter in one of their printing presses so it shows what they looked like.
The oldest moveable metal type book
The intentionality of this artifact has the essential teachings of Buddhas and Patriarches on the essence of the mind. The material of the artifact are from a printing press of moveable metal type. The functionality of the book was to help the Buddhist to teach Zen Buddhism. The current Function of the book is listed in the UNESCO memory of the world. The content relates to its form by holding all the essential teachings of the buddhas and Patriaches.
